On November 22, 2024, Wizkid unveiled his sixth studio album, Morayo, a deeply personal project dedicated to his late mother, Juliana Morayo Balogun. The album's title, Morayo, meaning "I see joy" in Yoruba, encapsulates the emotional depth and cultural richness that permeate the 16-track collection.

Morayo seamlessly blends Afrobeats with R&B, featuring collaborations with international artists like Brent Faiyaz, Jazmine Sullivan, Tiakola, and Asake. The lead single, "Piece of My Heart" featuring Brent Faiyaz, set streaming records in Nigeria, while "Kese (Dance)" became the fastest solo African song to hit 10 million Spotify streams, achieving this milestone in just nine days.

TOURING THE TRIBUTE

To bring Morayo to life, Wizkid announced the 'Morayo' tour, with performances across Europe and North America. Notable dates include a show at Berlin's Velodrom on May 21, 2025, and a performance at Paris' Accor Arena on May 25, 2025.

BEYOND THE MUSIC: A DOCUMENTARY PREMIERE

Adding to the album's narrative, Wizkid's journey and the making of Morayo are chronicled in the documentary Wizkid: Long Live Lagos, set to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in June 2025. The film offers an intimate look at his rise from the streets of Lagos to global superstardom.
