1. You’ve been making music since your Bowen University days, what first pushed you to turn that passion into a career?
Damijhonsn:
Money and fame. That’s what motivated me at the start.

2. Your debut single BBL caught a lot of attention, what inspired the record and its sound?
Damijhonsn:
The beauty of African women. And honestly, women in general.

Being signed under Digitizers Records, how has that partnership shaped your growth and creative direction as an Afrobeat artist?
Damijhonsn:
It has helped me push my music to a larger audience and provided me with a lot of resources to build a successful artist career. It’s a blessing.

4. As a street artist, how do your everyday experiences influence your sound and message?
Damijhonsn:
My everyday activities are usually where I get my inspiration from. So those daily moments are very important in my creative process of making music.

5. Who are some artists that inspire your sound — and if you could collaborate with one, who would it be?
Damijhonsn:
Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Kizz Daniel, Kodak Black, Future, Peruzzi — all of them inspire me. If I had to pick one to work with… that’s tough, but I’d be grateful to collab with any.
